WhatsApp could soon roll out support for making voice and video calls to Some Desktop Users

WhatsApp soon going to launch a support for making voice and video calls to Some Desktop Users. It has been a much-requested feature and it may be making its way to WhatsApp on your Windows 10 PC or Mac computing device.

Being able to send messages from your desktop now, its set to get even better as work is ongoing on the ability to make voice and video calls from the companion web and desktop app

The feature is now live in beta that allowing you to take WhatsApp voice and video calls right from your desktop or laptop.

The new features was spotted by The Guardian’s Alex Hern who shared a screenshot on Twitter.

Up until now, WhatsApp calling was limited only to the mobile applications. The Desktop users must have to return to your mobile device to make a video or voice call. By this features, the users have received new voice and video calling buttons in the chat header on the desktop. You can click on these buttons to make voice and video calls to the selected contact.

Group voice and video calls are also supported in this latest features, It would make it quite easy for people to use WhatsApp for quick group calls instead of having to schedule meetings.
