- WhatsApp will bring new colors to messages within a chatbox
- Users can choose a darker shade of Green
- WhatsApp is also working on Support Chat Threads feature.
Popular messaging platform WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature to change its App colors. The upcoming feature allows users to experiment with several colors.
“WhatsApp is developing a feature that allows to change some colors in their app,” tweeted WABetaInfo. The screenshots shared by the blog site give us a glimpse of how this feature could function.
In the screenshots, texts in a particular chatbox can be seen sporting new colors shades of yellow and green. These in-chat messages shown in the images are system messages that inform the user of an account being a business account and impart other such information.
There’s no official word yet on when the feature is expected to roll out to all users.
Chat Threads feature:-
WhatsApp has recently rolled out an in-app support feature for ‘specific beta testers.’ The feature basically allows users’ chat with the messaging platform to report any bugs within the app.
Support Threads are verified end-to-end encrypted chats and they’ll be closed after the issue is fixed.
This feature is currently in beta and is being developed for iOS users for now.
On the other hand, WhatsApp is working on a feature that will allow users to change the playback speed of voice messages at their convenience.
The feature will be released with WhatsApp version 126.96.36.199. It will have a total of three-speed levels – 1x, 1.5x and 2x where users will be able to play the audio messages at any one of these speeds.
This same feature was spotted for Android users in January and is now being developed for an iOS beta version.
